Yesterday I got out of bed a little later than the ordinary, about 9:30 Am. I made my way to the kitchen to find my wife frustrated with a task related to our business. I immediately went into coach mode and began explaining to her the reason we are in business in the first place? Freedom! Period.
The same freedom which allows me to coach my seven-year-old son?s basketball team. The same freedom that allowed me an opportunity to witness and take part in one of the most life changing moments in my seven year-old son?s young life.
Zahran, at age seven, is the youngest of my three children, as a result he is always trying harder to compete and out-perform his older siblings. So when the time came for basketball, he was determine to out-perform his older brother and anyone in his age group.
Along with being the youngest kid on the court he was one of the smallest.? That didn?t stop Zahran, every chance he gets he is practicing and trying to shoot his basketball.

By the end of the season, all the kids on the team had scored a basket, including his older brother. Everyone had a basket except for my little dude, Zahran.
But that didn?t stop him one bit, he kept practicing hard and taking shots. As his coach, I kept encouraging him to keep taking shots and keep playing hard. At times it was hard, because I knew how badly he wanted to score a basket.
I?m sure you can relate?
It?s times like these that are the most precious to me. These are the reminders for me why I joined a internet home based business and started working from home.

- I can spend as much time with my kids as I want
- I am present for ALL of their special moments.

Victory At Last
At the end of the second quarter, Zahran stole the ball from an opposing player, dribbled the ball to the other end of the court and with two other players trailing, threw the ball up to the basket with all the power in his little body. The ball bounced once of the backboard then fell into the basket.
I can?t tell you who was more excited, him or me. I ran from the sideline, onto the court and lift him to the skies in celebration. For a brief moment, time had stopped and the coach reverted back to being a parent. We celebrated together on the court. Him in my arms and me jumping up and down.
In that moment in time, my son and I were champions? we had won the Super Bowl, NBA championship and Daytona 500 all at the same time. We were on top of the world, even if it only was for a couple of seconds.
