Develop Your Creative Writing Strengths | writing and speaking ...

By Marjorie J McDonald

You can exploit your creative writing strengths in figuring out what type of writing you enjoy and are good at doing. You can be a writer without being a master or expert in your subject material. If you restrict your appreciation of what it suggests to be a creative writer or being a writer you can feel suppressed.

Start with what you understand and like. Add your experiences about those topics. Add experiences of others with your topic. You see it can grow quite fast if you are not being made to come up with some idea out of thin air. Regularly I see beginning writers get stuck in that - I have to out of the air compose something and then be good at it before I'll share it with others.

You are writing from: what you like, what you know about the topic, your experiences with the topic and how others might enjoy learning about your topic and using your system to using your subject. This fast formula can help you over and over when you're feeling stuck. Write it down and keep it handy to remember that you are sharing your experience about something not creating the next better mousetrap or whatever widget you think is going to be the next raging success.

When you can take the pressure off yourself and just share it is easier, more fun and so much more creative not to mention productive for you. Folk need to join with you and your experience not some automated message that is canned and not fascinating. If your spelling ability is stopping you get help with your spelling skills by learning what level you spell on now.

The typical questions about did you know about this___, what did you know about it____, how have you used it_____, what did you think of it______and would or what part about it___could you recommend to me will get you to a finished story fairly quickly. Of course, you are able to add private stories about your experience when using____or a testimonial from some other person about what has happened to them____and that usually reinforces your connection with your reader.

Interesting high-value content is always in heavy demand from readers who would like to hook up with someone who can deliver added value topics to them if you are in the non fiction arena and in the fiction arena, it will add to the believability of your characters and story line. Where ever you wish to write, this technique can be applied to increase your skill to share and connect to those readers who are your reader base. Spend a bit of time in your area and improvement will be plain to you very quickly.

Ahhh, the satisfaction that will bring to you. When you tap into that, writing from your creative strengths will be sooo easy for you to do.

About the Author:

Marjorie J McDonald is a published author who enjoys helping aspiring writers begin to write by giving them creative writing strategies. One way it all begins is with what level of spelling they are on. The spelling level determines the reading level of each person and is a necessary part of being able to clearly communicate with others. How to teach spelling and lesson plans for spelling are several of the programs offered to help anyone who wants to write get started. The lessons on learning level are useable for children who are just starting to learn spelling penmanship and creative writing as well as adults who want to learn or improve their language skills.
