Though Jennifer Lopez just recently confirmed that she would, in fact, be returning for the new season of American Idol, the judge says there was a time at the end of last season that she wasn't so sure.
"I got a little bit tired at the end with everything going on in my life at the time," says Lopez, whose announced in June that she and husband Marc Anthony were divorcing after seven years of marriage.
Appearing at a press conference for the show in Savannah, Ga. Thursday, the "I'm Into You" singer says she realized that Idol was "one of the best things I've ever been involved with." Lopez also credited working with the aspiring singers and host Ryan Seacrest, as well as fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, in helping her make her decision.
I was like, 'Okay, I'm gonna do it again,'" she says.
Earlier this month, Idol's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe revealed the news that Lopez would be prettying up the judges' panel once again, for season 11.
While appearing on Seacrest's radio show, Lythgoe said, "I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol is back for the next season."
While we're sure Jen really does love her job over at Idol, we can't help but think that her significant pay raise had a bit to do with her decision, as well. Last week, The Wrap reported that Lopez will be making more than $20 million for her work on the show -- about $8 million more than she made last year.
Yeah, that may have had something to do with it.
