The prospects for President Barack Obama's $447 billion jobs plan grew dimmer Monday as he unveiled the fine print of how it would be paid for?primarily through tax increases that Republicans said would destroy jobs, not create them.Mr. Obama proposed limiting itemized deductions for families making $250,000 or more a year, ending tax breaks for oil companies and corporate jet owners, and cutting out a tax break for investment-fund managers. The White House says the tax changes would take effect in 2013 and estimates they would raise $467 billion in additional revenue over 10 years.

Hmm.. Today, Richard Fisher, president of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, said he is against more QE stimulus until politicians attack the fiscal problems. But now we read that Obummer's stimulus slush $ has no chance of passing. So, where's the silver lining in this dark cloud? I guess everyone is still counting on Bubble Ben to save the day on Sept 21st and free $ @ 0% to anyone who wants to buy the market.Fisher says Fed can do little now to spur conomy

Passage is a done deal.The plan weakens SS, by making another cut in the payroll taxes which fund SS. The Republicans can't turn down such an offer - even Cantor has come out in favor of 'the jobs package'. Kiss SS, Medicare, minimum wages and workplace safety goodbye. Welcome to China in North America for your kids/grandkids.
Please give us healthcare system where the providers get a free market, to bill as much as they can...and the providers, insurers and pharmas are protected from competition.
